The Making

What if the very struggles, setbacks, and seasons of confusion in our lives are not signs of abandonment but evidence that God is actively at work shaping us into something greater? This message takes us to the shoreline of Galilee, where Jesus approaches a fisherman with no ministry resume, no polished credentials, and no grand vision for his future, and speaks words that change everything. He does not say 'I will use you' or 'I will bless you.' He says 'I will make you.' That single word, make, carries the full weight of a process most of us would rather skip. Drawing from the journey of Peter from Matthew chapter 4 to Acts chapter 2, we are invited to see the dramatic contrast between who Peter was at the beginning and who he became, and more importantly, to sit with what happened in between. Steel is forged in fire. Diamonds are formed under pressure. And the disciples of Christ are shaped through a process that is rarely comfortable but always purposeful. If we have ever felt like we should be further along, or wondered why the promise still feels out of reach, this message speaks directly to that tension and reminds us that being in the middle of the process is not a sign that God has forgotten us. It is a sign that He is still working.
