Just Be Holy

Mar 15, 2026    Pastor Michelle Ellison

This powerful message takes us deep into Romans 12:1-2, where Paul challenges us to present our bodies as living sacrifices. The sermon unpacks three transformative movements for holy living: embody, embrace, and embark. First, we must embody holiness by making our faith visible in everyday life - not just on Sundays, but in how we speak, treat others, and conduct ourselves at work, at home, and everywhere in between. We are called to be living epistles read by all people. Second, we must embrace God's truth by renewing our minds daily, refusing to conform to worldly patterns and instead allowing biblical thinking to replace cultural influences. This means waking up each morning and surrendering our agenda to God, filtering what we allow into our minds through media and conversations. Finally, we embark on God's will by discerning and walking in His purpose for our lives. The message reminds us that holiness is not about perfection or religious performance - it's about belonging fully to God and allowing our lives to reflect Him in every area. When we truly grasp that we've been given salvation, grace, redemption, and mercy, our natural response should be to die daily to ourselves so Christ can live through us.
