This is the Life

What does it truly mean to live a Christian life? Not just in word, but in action, sacrifice, and transformation? Romans chapter 12 lays out a standard that challenges us to move beyond the comfortable and the convenient. For eleven chapters, Paul builds a theological foundation, reminding us of the power of the gospel, the reality of sin, the price that was paid, and the promise that all things work together for our good. But then comes that pivotal word, 'therefore,' and everything shifts. The conversation moves from what we have received to what is now required of us. This is where faith becomes more than a feeling and more than a Sunday morning experience. It becomes a living, breathing sacrifice, offered not just when eyes are watching, but in every room, every relationship, and every decision we make throughout the week. The message calls us to examine whether we are truly giving God our best, our time, our talent, and our treasure, or whether we have been offering him only what is left over. If salvation is free but discipleship costs us something, then the question worth sitting with is this: what have we actually placed on the altar?
